Natural sunlight varies during the day from low UVB in the early morning to high UVB in the mid day sun. Low pressure tanning has the sunburn potential of the midday sun and the sun tanning potential of the early morning sun. High pressure offers the tanning potential of the mid-day sun and the burning potential of the early morning sun. The perfect tanning light has enough UVB to stimulate production of melanin, the tanning power delivered by UVA, production of vitamin D, and the warmth of near Infrared. This combination can be found in Ultra Tan’s diverse offerings of tanning beds. Ultra Tan offers at all seven of its locations Low, medium and high pressure beds. Low-pressure beds are characterized by having high levels of UVB whereas high-pressure beds have increased levels of UVA and lower levels of UVB. Higher levels of UVA allow the tan to last longer and reduce the risk of UVB burning. The ultimate reason that Ultra Tan offers the areas best tan in not for the type and style of bed, it is the care and meticulous maintenance of our beds that we offer to you. Ultra Tan begins with trained professional to maintain our tanning beds. Next we use only the industries best bulbs by Heraeus. Lastly to enhance your visit and give you your best tan, Ultra Tan monitors the bulb life in our beds so that we know you are receiving consistent levels of UV light for your best bronzing potential.

Ultra Tan offers a variety of low pressure beds to serve your tanning and comfort needs. Ultra Tan’s regular beds are found at all seven locations.

Medium Pressure Tanning

Beds that have higher watt bulbs than the regular bed, and when high-pressure facial lamps are added to a bed, beds are referred to as a medium-pressure. These combination beds are excellent for the tanner looking for a deeper tan than they will achieve in the low pressure beds. Medium pressure beds offer less UVB rays and more UVA therefore a perfect next step in tanning while perfecting your golden glow. The higher UVA rays mean more bronzing power in your session. Several of Ultra Tan’s medium pressure beds offer large bed widths that are extremely comfortable for taller individuals, or those who just want a little more room to stretch out, making the experience a more enjoyable while developing your golden tan. While the Mega Max, Turbo and Super Turbo are lie down beds for a relaxing rest, the Diva tower and standup units offer you an opportunity to add color to the more difficult areas to tan; like under your arms. Not only can you eliminate unsightly lines but it gives you a chance to let down your guard and dance to the music. Its OK, no ones watching and the increased blood flow in your body increases you tanning potential with a rise in oxygen levels in your skin. The face is typically the most difficult portion of the body to tan simply because of the type of skin tissue as well as the fact that the skin on the face is exfoliated at a much more rapid pace than the rest of the body. Facial bulbs have significantly higher UVA ratings than long bulbs therefore offer the ultimate bronzing experience for your face. Ultra Tan’s Medium pressure beds are found at all seven locations.

High Pressure Tanning

High-pressure beds use only Quartz lamps to deliver results. These lamps have a much lower content of UVB, thus reducing the risk of burning and allowing your skin to maintain a normal exfoliation process. Therefore results by high pressure tanning last much longer! Ultra Tan offers the Ultrabronz at all of its seven locations. An industry innovator, Ultrabronz was first to revolutionize high-pressure tanning in the United States and through the years, customers world-wide have come to recognize Ultrabronz as the leader in high-pressure.
