Ultra Tan uses a technology developed by White Science, a privately-held division of a company that has long experience in cosmetic dentistry. White Science’s extensive experience in dentistry provided the insight to create products uniquely suited for use in spas and salons.

White Science has developed a two step approach to teeth whitening; an initial teeth whitening using SpaWhite, the in-salon teeth whitening product. SpaWhite utilizes the 5 critical components of teeth whitening; peroxide, heat, pressure, time and exposure. To help maintain your bright smile, Ultra Tan offers WhiteICE, voted a 2006 top 100 product by Dentistry Today. In just 10 minutes a day, WhiteICE will continue to remove stains from your teeth and prevent the re-staining of your teeth from food, tobacco and everyday life.

Most dental whitening services use hydrogen peroxide as the active ingredient in the stain removal process. Peroxide at high levels however can cause gum irritation and tooth sensitivity. Manufacturers of teeth whitening products often dilute the concentration of the peroxide to lessen to effects of the peroxide on gums and teeth requiring more time to reach the same results that can be accomplished in our salon with a single visit. Dentists in order to use higher levels of peroxide use the time consuming process of covering the gums with a rubber shield to prevent the discomfort of gums and sensitivity of your teeth.

White Science Worldwide has developed a stabilized form of peroxide that maintains a neutral pH thus reducing the effects of sensitivity on the gums and teeth. This allows the product to have a higher percentage of peroxide, thus accelerating the teeth whitening process.
